The one about Lincoln

We had a great time in Lincoln recently visiting Annabelle’s Aunty Sharon and Uncle Ian, so I thought we would share some of the fun we had!

We had time for a little crafty fun while Dave was on tech duty and we spent some time outside exploring Aunty Sharon and Uncle Ian’s amazing garden (shameless plug for their landscape design business AGI Landscapes!)

Posing!

Checking out the massive fish!

Next we went inside to try an activity I had been meaning to get round to for ages – pipe cleaners and a colinder! I have seen this on Pinterest and vaious blogs and it looked like a great fine motor activity. Annabelle loved pushing the pipe cleaners through the holes, twisting them and pulling them through the other side.

Annabelle was keen to get out and about and Lincoln didn’t dissapoint – we found two fabulous but very different parks and soaked up some Autumn sunshine! Our first find was Whisby Nature Park with some of the best play equipment ever! Right outside the cafe and visitor centre there is a lovely sand play area with pulleys, tubes, buckets and sieve tables and a water track next door. Annabelle LOVED the water track, and she spent ages swishing the water along platforms, lifting the bariers and watching the water move along between each section, and catching the water from waterfalls. I love watching her have fun while she is exploring and learning so much!

Behind the visitor centre is the nature park with a large lake to walk around and a suspended walkway across, but the best bit was absolutely this –

Amazing climbing frame!

What an amazing climbing frame!! It hovers magically over the the water – what a cool place to play!

The next day, we headed off to the Hartsholme Country Park for a clamber in the playground and to feed the ducks!
